Apostle Ambassador Dr. Abera Adeba Jotte, DFAIPA, FAIPA, FCIPG
The remarkable trajectory of Apostle Ambassador Dr. Abera Adeba Jotte, a true humanitarian leader, began to unfold at the tender age of five in rural Kotobo, Ethiopia. A simple, instinctive act—donning his own shirt to shield a shivering, less fortunate friend from a sudden downpour—revealed an innate empathy that would define his life's purpose. This pivotal moment, solidified by his mother's decade-long commitment to shared provisions, became the bedrock of a career dedicated to alleviating suffering and fostering global well-being.
Over the past four decades, Dr. Jotte has channeled this foundational compassion into monumental impact. As President of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Blessing (EECOB), Director General of UNIPGC Africa, and Executive Director of AGAR Ethiopia Charitable Society, he commands leadership across spiritual, peace-building, and developmental spheres. A strategic and results-oriented executive, he has orchestrated the management of over US$150 million in programs and projects, driving unprecedented growth in organizational capacity and outreach.
Dr. Jotte's accomplishments are quantified in lives transformed: spearheading initiatives that educated over 45 million persons on safe migration, successfully rehabilitated and reintegrated more than 55,000 individuals, and generated over 25,000 job opportunities. His extensive experience spans public health, mental health, and international relations, notably impacting over 55 million persons on HIV/AIDS prevention and delivering vital healthcare services to tens of thousands of refugees.
A highly decorated leader, Dr. Jotte holds a Doctor of Leadership and Management, multiple master's degrees, and a suite of honorary doctorates. His global recognition includes being a UN Ambassador of Peace, a Distinguished Fellow (DFAIPA, FAIPA), and a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (FCIPG), alongside prestigious accolades such as the Lee Kuan Yew and K. Nkrumah Leadership Medals. His journey is a powerful testament to how early compassion, coupled with strategic leadership, can ignite transformative change on a global scale.
